The golf world, and many out of it, have been left rocked by the news that Jarrod Lyle is going into palliative care after claiming he is “no longer able to fight.”
Kuchar setting sights on Ryder Cup
Matt Kuchar delivered when it mattered at the RBC Heritage this past weekend and now feels confident enough to switch focus towards the Ryder Cup.
Kuchar has ruled out competing at July’s Scottish Open in order to train all of his efforts into the Ryder Cup, which is set to commence at Gleneagles in September.
A solid performance from Kuchar denied second-placed Luke Donald a first win on US soil in two years – as well as sparking his own chance to look the part before Ryder Cup selection begins.
The 35-year-old has been a solid foundation in the last two US Ryder Cup teams and is excited about the prospect of competing in Scotland.
"I just love playing golf in Scotland and just looking forward to the Ryder Cup," said Kuchar, whose victory lifted him to five in the world rankings.
"It's just to be right in the mix for the Ryder Cup and I'm just excited about the Ryder Cup itself as you don't want to miss out."
