Hole 2 - Wester Greenwells
The second hole is a 516 yard par 5 with a dogleg left. A long drive is needed to be able to see over the hill in the crook of the dogleg and onto your next shot. A narrow fairway leads up to the green, and it’s usually best to shoot for around 100 yards short of the green to avoid the water to the left and three bunkers in front of the green.
The green has two tiers, the back of which is higher. With water and three bunkers in front of the green and a bunker behind, approach is crucial in getting a good score on this hole. This long par 5 will be an initial test of the players, and the water on the front left of the green could see some action if the weather’s unpredictable.
