The golf world, and many out of it, have been left rocked by the news that Jarrod Lyle is going into palliative care after claiming he is “no longer able to fight.”
Wentworth event ‘massive’ for Justin Rose
Justin Rose has enthused to the world how important he feels this week’s BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth is going to be.
He believes that outside of the majors, this tournament is right up there with the best events the game has to offer. Rose has finished second on two occasions, including a play-off defeat to Denmark’s Anders Hansen in 2007.
However, the Englishman, 33, says the West Course at Wentworth also holds many great memories for him as a young amateur growing up in the South of England.
Rose told Sky Sports News: "Wentworth is a massive tournament for me. You've got the Majors and maybe a world event or two but for me it's right there with the best tournaments in the world.
"It was the one I used to go and watch since I was eight years old with a backpack full of sandwiches and follow all the pros and be inspired by them to practice harder."
