OG News: Jarrod Lyle confirms he's in "palliative care"
The golf world, and many out of it, have been left rocked by the news that Jarrod Lyle is going into palliative care after claiming he is “no longer able to fight.”
Trevor Immelman has secured his PGA Tour card for next season after winning the first event of the Web.com Tours finals in exciting fashion.
Down at 143 in this year's FedEx Cup standings, Immelman missed out on the play-offs and looked set for a battle to retain his playing privileges. But his one-shot victory at the Hotel Fitness Championship in Indiana has now effectively ensured his card for the next season.
Immelman, who walked away with a $180,000 first-place cheque, was five shots behind leader Patrick Cantlay at the start of the day, but fired a superb 64 to edge out his rival.
Congratulations to the lad!

Graeme McDowell will have just two events to secure a PGA Tour card which would enable him to play in the United States next year after failing to qualify for next week's USPGA Championship in Missouri.
