Tiger Woods to return at Hero World Challenge

Has the time finally arrived for Tiger Woods to make his full-time return to golf?

Woods announced he will make his competitive return after nine months out through injury at the World Hero Challenge on 30th November.

The 14-time major champion, who has undergone four back operations in the past three years, hasn’t played since withdrawing from February's Dubai Desert Classic.

The 18-man event is hosted by the 41-year-old in the Bahamas, and is an unofficial money event on the PGA Tour.

"I'd like to thank the committee of one for picking myself to play," wrote Woods on Twitter.

Woods last won a major title in 2008 before his back fusion surgery in April. And, last month, said he may never return to competitive golf. However, his agent said in early October that Tiger had been cleared to resume playing.
