The golf world, and many out of it, have been left rocked by the news that Jarrod Lyle is going into palliative care after claiming he is “no longer able to fight.”
Schreefel wins $100,000 for first LPGA hole-in-one
Dewi Claire Schreefel won a whopping $100,000 for her hole-in-one at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic.
The Dutchwoman hit a blinding shot to ace the 157-yard 12th hole with a 7-iron on Sunday at Lake Merced Golf Club, earning herself the hefty prize from China Trust Bank. She later joked while walking up the No. 18 that it was her biggest cheque of the year, quipping: "Wow, that's worth more than a car."
Schreefel, 28, achieved only her second hole-in-one and her first on the LPGA Tour. She shot a 1-under 71 in the final round for a 4-over 292 total.
There was a second hole-in-one on Sunday made by Jimin Kang on the 164-yard third – although she did not identify the club she used before departing the course.
