The golf world, and many out of it, have been left rocked by the news that Jarrod Lyle is going into palliative care after claiming he is “no longer able to fight.”
Lydia Ko returns to career-high 2nd in women’s golf rankings
Lydia Ko has moved back to a career-high second in the women’s world golf rankings after finishing second at the Arkansas Championship yesterday.
Despite not winning the event, Ko moved from 3rd to 2nd – equalling her career best.
After her Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic win back in April, Ko was placed in second spot behind the impressive Inbee Park. However, she was swept aside by the astounding form shown by Stacy Lewis, who nudged the American back down the rankings table.
Lewis was the victor in Arkansas this weekend, taking her right to the top of the rankings, while Ko’s strong finish assured that she replace Park in second place.
Ko also moved from sixth in the LPGA’s order of merit, the Race to CME Globe, into third behind Lewis and American Michelle Wie.
