The golf world, and many out of it, have been left rocked by the news that Jarrod Lyle is going into palliative care after claiming he is “no longer able to fight.”
European Golf Exhibit Celebrates Golf’s Impact On The Continent
With The Ryder Cup and Solheim Cups in European hands after victories over the United States, now seems the perfect time to bask in the continent’s success. While triumph on the field of play represents the pinnacle in a sporting context, golf’s success can be felt far and wide throughout Europe although it’s not always acknowledged.
Luckily the wider influence of European golf will get it’s day in the sun during the ‘Golf: A European Success’ taking place at the European Parliament in Brussels from May 6-8, 2013.
Organised by the European Golf Association Golf Course Committee the exhibition promises to be a celebration of golf’s contribution to Europe in economic, environmental, social and sporting terms.
Under the patronage of The European Parliamentary Golfing Society (EPGS) - and in partnership with The R&A, The European Tour, European Golf Course Owners Association, PGAs of Europe, European Institute of Golf Course Architects, Federation of European Golf Greenkeepers Associations, Club Managers Association of Europe - Golf: A European Success offers the opportunity to liaise and interact with European Parliamentarians and Commissioners in facet of sustainability and golf.
With over 6,000 courses in Europe with annual contributions of €15billion there will be plenty to talk about.
