High-Density Tungsten Back Weight

To achieve new levels of performance the PING SFT (straight flight technology) offers high levels of MOI (moment of inertia). This is achieved with a fixed 23-gram high-density tungsten back weight which is positioned further towards the heel. This increases MOI by up to 14% without sacrificing any other performance attributes in the design. It also applies maximum shot shape correction to help you achieve straighter drives.

Ti 8-1-1 Body / Forged T9S+ Face

PING has created the 460cc G425 driver with a Ti 811 ultra-thin crown, with advanced Internal Dragonfly Technology to produce even more weight savings. This increases the MOI, for the highest levels of forgiveness and even more distance.

The high-strength T9S+ face of the driver has been forged using a unique heat-treating process. This patented process creates a thinner face which is precision machined for maximum flexing, this increases ball speed for greater distance performance all the way along the face.

Turbulator Technology

To achieve more clubhead speed PING engineered the G425 with even better aerodynamics and more efficient crown Turbulators. This reduces aerodynamic drag to produce an increase in swing speed performance.

Loft & Lie Adjustability

The driver allows you to dial into your preferred loft and lie settings. The hosel allows 5 different loft settings +-1.5⁰ (0, +1⁰, +1.5⁰, -1⁰, -1.5⁰). Plus you can alter the lie angle by up to 3⁰ flatter.

A fixed 23-gram tungsten back weight shifts the CG closer to the heel to promote a right-to-left shot bend of approximately 25 yards compared to G425 MAX. A lighter swingweight (D1) also helps correct ball flight.

PING engineers developed an internal rib structure in the Ti 8-1-1 body, reinforcing key sections of the head to improve acoustics for a solid, pleasing sound and better feel.
