US beat Internationals 18½-15½ In Presidents Cup

The United States secured a fifth successive Presidents Cup success over the Internationals at Muirfield Village in Ohio with an 18½-15½ victory.

The hosts led 11½-6½ before Sunday’s foursome matches, which were held up due to storms, and 12 singles. The internationals won six of the first nine singles matches completed in Ohio but Tiger Woods’ one-up victory over Richard Sterne sealed the result.

The US has now clinched eight of the 10 stagings of the event, including one draw.
