United States Lead The Way At Presidents Cup

The United States finished their opening day of the Presidents Cup on a high at Muirfield Village, taking a 3½-2½ lead over the International team.

Jordan Spieth and Steve Stricker won the final four-ball of the day, which gave the defending champions a much-needed edge. This came after the first day had been struck down by terrible weather conditions, with play suspended due to threats of lightning.

Earlier on in the day, Tiger Woods and Matt Kuchar, along with Jason Dufner and Zach Johnson, had claimed victory in their four-balls for the hosts.
