Jordan Spieth thanks Under Armour for high-tech pyjamas after Open victory

Jordan Spieth pulled off a sensational victory at the 146th Open Championship at Birkdale on Sunday, but he’s not simply putting it down to his golf clubs, form or even his caddie. His secret weapon? An incredible power of recovery.

Six days removed from lifting the Claret Jug, Spieth posted an image on Instagram revealing he’d slept well on the flight thanks to wearing a set of Under Armour 'Athlete Recovery Sleepwear' pyjamas.

The sleepwear is inspired by New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who worked with the American firm to help develop a range of athlete recovery products.

Spieth captioned the image with a message saying: 'Good night from the UK! Great day of practice today. Thanks Under Armour for putting the Athlete Recovery Sleepwear in my kit... felt great this morning after the long flight.'

So, how do these pyjamas work?

Under Armour claims that the pyjamas help the body recover faster and promotes better sleep. That meant Spieth was in tip-top shape come the first tee at The Open.

Far Infrared is a type of energy on the infrared spectrum that reportedly has 'several benefits for the human body.'

In 2015 Spieth penned a 10-year multi-million-dollar deal with Under Armour, joining the likes of Brady, Steph Curry, and Memphis Depay.
