2014 Ryder Cup Ambassadors Announced

JLS heartthrob Marvin Humes, and popular Irish actor James Nesbitt have become the latest ambassadors to be announced for next year's Ryder Cup at Gleneagles.

This pair will team up with the likes of supermodel Jodie Kidd, Liverpool legend Alan Hansen, and fellow footballing star Ruud Gullit, all of whom had already been named as part of the ambassadorial line-up.

Nesbitt, a well renowned golf nut, said: "Golf is one of my lifelong passions and I always find an excuse to hit the course between filming or share tips with fellow golf fans. I'm very proud to be an ambassador for the 2014 Ryder Cup and take part in what is the greatest event on the golf calendar.

The 2014 Ryder Cup will be an amazing week, not just for Scotland, but for golf fans across Europe who will be hoping our team can repeat its incredible performance at Medinah."

Nesbitt and co will all head to Scotland next week to take part in the 'Year to Go' celebrations, which will include them boarding a specially commissioned steam locomotive along with Ryder Cup captains Paul McGinley and Tom Watson.

Let’s just hope that Team Europe can put together a similarly strong team of players come next September, as the event organisers have managed in assembling their ambassadorial line-up.
