Paul Casey wins KLM Open using Nike Golf equipment
Englishman Paul Casey blew the opposition away as he won the KLM Open in fine fashion using an array of Nike Golf equipment.
Four birdies on the front nine from the 37-year-old was enough to see him reach the turn in 32. The three-time Ryder Cup player had been in contention on Saturday when he fired a course-equalling record 62 at the Kennemer Golf and Country Club in Zanvoort.
Casey was a new man on the greens as he headed into the final nine holes with four consecutive pars, before unleashing a monster drive on the par-4 14th to set up a pitch to the green that led to another birdie – his 21st of the week.
This was Paul Casey at his absolute best, and his victory in the Netherlands was his 13th on the European Tour; his last win coming at the 2013 Irish Open.
