Mizuno and Lewis announce new multi-year equipment deal

Mizuno Golf has today announced a multi-year equipment deal with Stacy Lewis, extending the ladies World No.3 long-standing agreement amid her meteoric rise to the top of the women’s game.

Placing her trust in Mizuno, Lewis has become a leading light in US golf – the first American in twenty-one years to win all three LPGA season honours – LPGA Rolex Player of the Year, Vare Trophy and Money List Title. She has also added to her bag, along with already having Mizuno irons and wedges, a new Mizuno driver. Lewis teed up at Thailand’s HONDA event with the brand new Mizuno JPX850 Fast Track for the first time.

“I’m excited to start the 2015 campaign on the right foot by re-signing with Mizuno,” said Lewis.

“Mizuno has been my equipment company since college, and as I pursue more wins, I’m really happy to keep the team intact that has been so central to my success.”

Lewis is set to build on a huge 2014 LPGA campaign that resulted in wins at the North Texas LPGA Shootout, Shoprite LPGA Classic and the Wal-Mart NW Arkansas Championship. Lewis secured her spot atop the podium at the season-ending Rolex Award reception by earning three wins, eighteen top-10 finishes and led the LPGA in rounds under par. Stacy finished the year No. 3 in the world, No.1 on Tour in birdies, and second in Greens in Regulation.

“Stacy is so popular across the world and especially in Japan,” said Akito Mizuno, President of the Mizuno Corporation.

“She competes with incredible intensity and has overcome barriers with determination and willpower. We admire her and are delighted she will continue to represent the Mizuno name.”

Lewis will compete using the Mizuno JPX850 driver and hybrid, along with the JPX850 BORON Forged irons and MP-T5 wedges.
