Is Tiger set for TaylorMade woods switch?

Could the face of Nike Golf be about to switch his attention to its biggest rival TaylorMade? It certainly looks to be the case…

Tiger Woods looks set to follow in the footsteps of fellow Nike golfer Rory McIlroy by using TaylorMade woods when he returns to action in the near future.

The 40-year-old will make his comeback at the Hero World Challenge in two weeks’ time, and has been spotted driving on the range at Medalist Golf Club near to his home in Jupiter, Florida, using a TaylorMade 3-wood.

The footage was uploaded courtesy of PGA Tour pro Will Wilcox on Snapchat, which also reveals what seems like a far less explosive golf swing.

As well as TaylorMade woods, the 14-time major champion is also expected to have a Scotty Cameron putter in the bag, which he revealed at a coaching clinic a day after withdrawing from the Safeway Open.

Rory McIlroy switched to a TaylorMade driver and woods at the WGC-HSBC Champions three weeks ago, and also has them in play at this week’s DP World Tour Championship.

Other notable former Nike staffers who have tested out TaylorMade products include Brooks Koepka, Paul Casey, Francesco Molinari, Haotong Li and Ross Fisher.
