Five Share Lead at Alfred Dunhill Links Championship
Former Ryder Cup player Oliver Wilson and 2011 Silver Medal winner Tom Lewis currently sit at the top after day one of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland, but have to settle for a five-way tie.
The duo share the lead with Chile’s Mark Tullo, fellow Englishman Richard McEvoy and France’s Alexandre Kaleka. All of them finished day one with eight-under par 64’s.
There are only two events after this one for players to retain their cards, and all five leaders are currently lying outside of the all-important top 110.
Wilson is favoured by many to be the player who manages to earn himself the Tour card. Wilson, a five-time runner-up on the European Tour who played in the 2008 Ryder Cup at Valhalla, lost his card at the end of last season, and is raring to go in this event in order to recapture what he’s lost.
