BMW PGA Championship: What’s in the players' bags?
Here’s a look at the equipment some of the top golfers will be using at the BMW PGA Championship:
One of Callaway Golf’s best players, Thomas Bjorn will be tinkering with his drivers when he hits the field. He has both the Callaway Golf Big Bertha Alpha Driver and X2 HOT Driver in his bag for the event, as well as a selection of X Forged Wedges.
Big Ernie Els rarely disappoints in the big events, and with a golf bag full of new golf clubs, there’s every chance he could be a frontrunner for victory. Ernie will be swinging with the TaylorMade SLDR Driver, two Adams Tight Lies Fairway Woods and a set of Adam XTD Forged Irons.
Jose Maria Olazabal
Olazabal is looking pretty sharp heading into the BMW PGA Championship, and why not with the power he’s packing in his bag? Olazabal has made a surprise inclusion in adding the Callaway OptiForce Driver, and has followed it up with the Callaway X2 Hot Fairway Wood, Titleist MB 714 Irons and Titleist Vokey SM4 Wedges.
Matthew Nixon is playing it safe by bulking out his bag with a selection of PING equipment. The Englishman will be using a PING G25 Driver and PING G25 Fairway Woods. He will also be using a PING Scottsdale TR Putter and PING S55 Irons. Finally he tops off his impressive bag with three PING Tour Wedges.
