Long Island Set To Host Ryder Cup
Bethpage Black in Long Island, New York, will be the hosts of the 2024 Ryder Cup it has been announced.
The Ryder Cup has only been held in the New York area once before, which was way back in 1935 at Ridgewood in New Jersey.
The Bethpage Black golf course has become legendary for people sleeping in their cars overnight in the hopes of grabbing any available tee time.
Next year’s Ryder Cup will be held at Gleneagles in Scotland with the 2016 edition gearing up to go in suburban Minneapolis’ Hazeltime.
The 2018 tournament is booked for the city of love, Paris, and the 2020 event is planned for Whistling Straits in Wisconsin, USA.
