Masters 2008 Preview

The 72nd US Masters tournament gets underway today in Augusta, Georgia, with the usual hype and excitement surrounding the event. The forecast looks good for the first 2-3 days, with no thunderstorms predicted until the weekend, which should mean the tournament is wide open.

Try telling that to the bookmakers and a certain Tiger Woods, who is, as usual for any tournament he plays, a strong favourite for the title this year. American Zach Johnson will be defending his title, having been a surprise winner in 2007.
