Tiger Wins WGC Match Play Title
Tiger Woods clinched his sixth straight tournament success yesterday by finishing off his final against Stewart Cink in record fashion. By winning 8 & 7, he secured a record margin of victory in the tournament's history.
However he will have his eye on other records, having overtaken Arnold Palmer to move into 4th place on the all time list of PGA Tour title winners. Only Sam Snead (82 wins), Jack Nicklaus (73), and Ben Hogan (64), stand in his way now.
Once Woods and Stewart Cink made the final, Nike Golf were guaranteed yet another Tour victory, but another Tiger win was never really in doubt even from when he birdied the Par 4 2nd hole to take the lead. He never looked back.
Tiger used the following for this latest win:
Driver: Nike SQ Tour
Irons: Nike Blades (3-PW)
Wedges: Nike Pro Combo 56˚ and Nike SV 60˚
Fairway Wood: Nike SUMO 15˚ and Nike SUMO 19˚
Putter: Titleist Scotty Cameron Studio Style (Newport 2)
Ball: New Nike ONE Platinum (coming shortly to Onlinegolf!)
Footwear: Air Tour TW 8.5
Apparel: Nike Golf Tiger Woods Collection Apparel
Glove: Nike Golf’s Dri-FIT Tour
