Onlinegolf Takes a Sneak Peek at Wilson Staff’s New Spine Driver

Once a week, the Onlinegolf staff gathers round to learn about the latest new innovations in the sport, so when our friendly Wilson Staff rep came strolling in with a shiny new driver held high, we knew we were in for a treat!

As you know, MOI is the new big buzzword in golf. Simply, the higher the MOI, the straighter the drive. Wilson Staff’s new Spine driver is the industry’s first perimeter weighted driver with a higher Moment of Inertia and a deeper Centre of Gravity than traditional 460cc clubs thanks to the Spine technology which reinforces the face behind the impact area.

Because of the superior stability produced by the radical clubhead design, this has allowed Wilson Staff to extend the shaft to maximise speed and distance without sacrificing control. To get everything just right, they’ve even produced their own unique wide proforce v2 high MOI shaft just for their Spine driver.

Obviously, we liked the sound of all this, which basically meant straight shots, extra long distance and plenty of speed. Even the ladies liked the smooth lines and it’s certainly one of the prettiest 460cc clubheads we’ve seen in a long time.

Due for an early February release at Onlinegolf, we can’t wait to get our hands on Wilson Staff’s Spine Driver it and take it down the range!
