Wood Named Number 1 Rookie

English golfer Chris Wood has capped off a great golf season by winning ‘Rookie of the Year’ on the European Tour. The 22-year-old golfer earned 5 top-10 finishes this golf season, and finished 3rd at The Open, which put him in a great position for the golf award.

Wood commented I've had my eyes on winning it all season because it's something you only ever get one chance at. By winning the award, Wood joins a number of successful golfers who had previously won it, including Nick Faldo, Sandy Lyle and Colin Montgomerie.
