Tiger Tamer
South Korean golfer Yong-Eun Yang became the first Asian-born male winner of a Major championship as he battled back to turn a 2-shot deficit into a 3-shot victory in the PGA Championship at Hazeltine National golf course.
Nike golfer Tiger Woods was leading after each of the first 3 days of the golf tournament, and looked set to add to his impressive 14 major titles when the final day of golf got underway.
However, American golfer Woods uncharacteristically struggled on the greens to get his golf ball into the hole, scoring 2 birdies and 5 bogeys, and taking 33 putts in the process. Yang held his nerve, golfing consistently on the final day, and with an eagle, 2 birdies and 2 bogeys, was able to secure a historic win.
Yang was using a variety of TaylorMade golf equipment, including a TaylorMade R7 Limited Driver, TaylorMade Burner Fairway Wood, TaylorMade Rescue TP, TaylorMade R7 Irons, and TaylorMade RAC wedges. Yang also used TaylorMade TP Red golf balls, and was wearing Adidas Tour 360 3.0 golf shoes.
