Tseng Aims to Defend LPGA Crown

Yani Tseng from Taiwan is confident of defending her LPGA Championship at the Harvre de Grace golf course in Maryland. Since defeating Swedish golfer Maria Hjorth in last year’s sudden death final, Tseng has managed 12 top 10 finishes, and at the age of 20, is currently the number 2 female golfer in the world. This is a magnificent rise, as she was 25th before last year’s golf tournament.

The 1st day of the LPGA Championship hasn’t gone completely to plan for Tseng, as despite an early birdie on the 2nd, she is tied 52nd at one-over-par after the first day of golf, and will be hoping to rise up the leaderboard on the remaining 3 days.
