Fantastic Success for Woods
Going into the final day at the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village golf course in Ohio, tied 7th and 4 shots off the pace, Tiger Woods had a phenomenal final day to secure his 2nd PGA Tour title in just 7 starts this year.
His 67th PGA Tour victory was a record 4th in this event for the American golfer. Woods putted for a nine-foot birdie on the 17th hole, and with a fantastic approach shot on the 18th to 14 inches of the hole, another birdie secured the win in a 7-under par round of 65. American golfer Woods hit a perfect 14 out of 14 fairways on the final day, and averaged 298.4 yards from the tee with his prototype of the Nike Dymo Driver.
Tiger was approaching the greens brilliantly over the 4-day golf tournament, using his Nike Victory Red Blades, Nike Victory Red Wedge, and Nike SV Tour Wedge to hit greens-in-regulation on 73.6% of holes.
Also in Woods’ Nike golf bag were a Titleist Scotty Cameron Studio Select Putter, and Nike One Tour golf balls. For maximum comfort, he wore Nike Air Zoom TW golf shoes and a range of Nike clothing.
