Cabrera Wins Masters
The 73rd Masters came to a close after a three-way playoff at Augusta National golf course, in which Angel Cabrera became the first Argentinean golfer to win the Masters after defeating American golfers Kenny Perry and Chad Campbell.
Kenny Perry appeared to be in control following his birdie at the 16th, but two bogeys on the final two holes led to a three way tie, and a playoff. Campbell was eliminated after the first, and then Cabrera kept his cool to sink his par putt, with Perry already having taken his four shots.
Much of the final day talk had been of American golfers Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, who were paired together in the final round of a major for the first time in 8 years, and who both surged up the leaderboard before finishing 5th (Mickelson) and joint 6th (Woods).
Cabrera shot his way to victory with a variety of golf equipment, including Titleist Vokey Wedges, and including Titleist Pro V1x golf balls.
