Here's a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Garmin G6 Approach Golf GPS

  1. Mike asked on
I have a Motocaddy M1 trolly does anyone know if the Garmin G6 fits and charges into the compartment?
    1. Stanley replied on
I use a push trolley and keep the g6 in my pocket
    2. Denis replied on
Sorry I can't tell you about your trolley but the G6 comes with a clip case with a sprung hook likes those on climbing tackle. This can be clipped on to virtually anything, personally I clip it to the loop at the top of the bag for the shoulder strap.
  2. sharon asked on
Is the screen big enough to make out the features on the greens and fairways?
    1. Brian replied on
Yes but depends on your eyesight!
    2. william replied on
Yes, I don't find any problem. I use it on visiting other clubs and it is useful for not only distance but also the position of hazards and the distance to them and the carry over them
  3. David asked on
My new G6 has been used only 5 times yet the battery says 'low battery' after only one round. Is this normal despite the advertising which says 15 hours battery life?.
    1. Nicholas replied on
No, not with my G6. I get 3 rounds out of mine, depending on the speed of play and therefore how long I'm out there. So I think 15 hours is about right.
I suggest you contact Garmin customer services they are usually very good in responding.
      I hope this helps
  4. Russell asked on
What is the expected life of the Garmin
    1. Danny replied on
      Hi Russell,

I've had mine coming on a year with no problems, battery still lasts all weekend (2 rounds) and still would possibly do another 18 holes.

So although I cannot say it will last years (no crystal ball), up till now it is performing as well as it did on day one, so I would recommend the G6
  5. Lars asked on
can you see meters or is it only yard
    1. Fred replied on
You can select either meters or yards by going to G6 Set up and select Unit of Distance (you need to scoll down) and select either Meters or yards. The distance on the course will be displayed in the unit you have selected.
    2. Allan replied on
Sorry, not sure, have not looked at the distances that close. Have been more interested in directions,

      Allan
  6. mick asked on
How does the G6 react in sunlight
    1. Kevin replied on
Its good in sunlight, the screen can also be adjusted brighter if required
