Golfing technicians can outwit the golf course with skill and guile, smartly outmaneuvering rather than overpowering. And it’s with new technology that these golfers can really excel at working the ball around the course and winning games.

TaylorMade is always striving to create products that advance technology and allows the golfer consistency in his or her approach. With 3D Tuning to independently tune loft, face angle and flight path your golf swing, 460cc matte-finish head powered by new 5-sided Adjustable Sole Plate (ASP), movable weights and 1.5 º Flight Control Technology (FCT) sleeve, the R11S returns power and performance to your hands.

Flight Control Technology (FCT)

TaylorMade's Flight Control Technology allows the player to easily adjust the loft, lie and face angle of a metalwood.

FCT utilizes a metallic sleeve positioned over the tip of the shaft. The sleeve can be rotated into different positions, changing the characteristics of the head, by loosening the bolt that secures the sleeve and shaft into the clubhead.

FCT can adjust the ball flight by 40 yards with a 2 degree closed, standard lie clubface promoting a 30 yards right to left flight and a 2 degree open, standard lie clubface promoting a 10 yards left to right flight. There are other settings in between so you can get the ball flight that suits you most.

Moveable Weight Technology (MWT)

Movable Weight TechnologyTM (MWT®), is discretionary clubhead weight that can be easily redistributed by the player to change the characteristics of the club.

By moving differently weighted cartridges, using a proprietary TaylorMade® wrench, into strategically positioned ports, CG location can be optimized per golfer.

Positioning more weight in the heel and less in the toe, speeds club head rotation during the forward swing, which promotes a draw and/or reduces a slice.

MWT can affect the ball flight by up to 35 yards from a 20 yard draw flight to a 15 yard fade flight.

Inverted Cone Technology (ICT)

The Inverted Cone is CNC-milled directly into the inner side of the clubface, resulting in a drastic variation in face thickness. ICT optimizes the way the clubface behaves at impact to create an expanded COR zone.

Inverted Cone Technology has been incorporated into every TaylorMade® driver since the R500 SeriesTM.

Ultra-Thin Wall Technology

Ultra-Thin Wall Technology is a casting process that allows thinner clubhead walls than found in most competitive drivers. The saved weight is critical to making the incorporation of MWT and FCT possible in certain TaylorMade metalwoods.
