Pringle
Robert Pringle founded Pringle of Scotland as a manufacturer of underwear and hosiery in 1815, before expansion during the 19th and 20th centuries throughout Europe, the United States and Japan evolved the company into one of the first luxury knitwear manufacturers in the world. After designing the first intarsia pattern in knitwear requested by the Prince of Wales for golf, Pringle developed a strong relationship with the world of golf, and over the years sponsored, amongst others, arguably the most famous and successful golfer of all time, Arnold Palmer.
