Accordingly, the 50 degree looks like it could be your next iron in your golf bag after the pitching wedge – ideal for fuller approach shots. But from the 54 degree up, the sole shape becomes much more versatile. In addition, there are wider shallow grooves on high lofts and deeper narrow grooves on lower lofts making this wedge suitable for low-mid handicap golfers. The Quad cut groove design maximises all dimensions within the new R&A/USGA guidelines. That and the grain flow forged construction combines for unmatched butter soft feel and spin control. A wider, shallower version of the Quad cut groove is used on 56-64 degree models to assist traction on the shorter, partial strikes – where your golf ball cannot fully compress and the thick top edge enhances both trajectory control and the spin created by the Quad cut groove system.
